Darrel will request to borrow as many photographs as possible if the portrait subject is deceased. Most portraits can be finished in 6 to 12 weeks.

Gary Holland

An experienced professional portrait artist, Mr. Holland has painted more than 1000 portraits. This versatile artist has his oil paintings hanging in public and private collections in more than 15 countries. Gary has had recent shows at museums and galleries in Moscow, Lithuania, Poland, Vietnam, as well as several U.S. states such as Arizona, New Mexico, and Wyoming.


Memorial Reflections has carefully chosen to represent Mr. Holland because he is especially gifted in creating vibrant paintings from older photographs. He is also gifted in his communication skills and understands the special skills and compassion required to work with grieving families who wish to commission a lasting visual tribute to their loved one.


Mr. Holland holds a M.A. in Art. As a member of ASOPA (American Association of Portrait Artists) Gary was the featured speaker at their national convention in 1995.

Gary Holland is currently illustrating and writing a series of books about the orphaned children of various countries. The first book (The Children of Haiti) is available to view on our web site. He is the president and founder of For the Children, Inc.
